Getting Started
How do I create an audiobook?
Simply create an account or log in, then upload a PDF or text file, or paste your text directly. Select your preferred voice, click "Generate Audio," and the service will convert your text to speech right in your browser. Once complete, you can download the audio file.
Do I need to install any software?
No installation required! Audiobook Generator is a web-based application that runs entirely in your browser. You just need a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) and an internet connection.
What file formats are supported?
Input formats:
- PDF files (.pdf)
- EPUB files (.epub)
- Plain text files (.txt)
- Direct text paste
Output format:
- WAV audio files (high-quality, uncompressed)
- MP3 audio files (compressed, smaller size)
Account & Pricing
Is there a free version?
Yes! We offer a free tier that allows you to convert a limited number of words per month. This is perfect for trying out the service or converting shorter documents. You can see your current usage in the dashboard.
What are the usage limits?
We offer two plans:
- Free Plan: 5,000 words per month for text-to-speech conversion
- Pro Plan: Unlimited words with no restrictions
Your current usage is always visible in the header.
How do I upgrade to a pro plan?
Click the "Upgrade" button in your header. You'll be redirected to a secure payment page powered by Stripe where you can choose your plan and complete the payment. Your upgraded limits will be available immediately.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time through your Stripe customer portal. You'll continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period, after which you'll revert to the free tier.
Do you offer refunds?
We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. If you're experiencing issues with the service or have concerns about your payment, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Privacy & Security
Is my text content private?
Absolutely! The text-to-speech conversion happens entirely in your browser using local processing. Your text content is never uploaded to our servers—it stays on your device. We cannot see or access the content you're converting.
What data do you collect?
We only collect account information (email, password), usage statistics (character counts), and subscription status. We do NOT collect or store your text content or generated audio files. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Where are the audio files stored?
Generated audio files are created in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. They are not stored on our servers. You have complete control over your audio files.
How secure is my payment information?
All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor trusted by millions of businesses. We never see or store your credit card details—Stripe handles all sensitive payment information securely.

What browsers are supported?
We recommend using the latest versions of:

How long does it take to generate an audiobook?
Generation time depends on your device's processing power and the length of your text. Typically, it takes several minutes. Shorter texts process faster, and modern computers with better CPUs will generate audio more quickly.
Why is generation slow on my device?
Since all processing happens in your browser, performance depends on your device's hardware. Older or less powerful devices may take longer. For best results, close unnecessary browser tabs and applications, and ensure you're using a modern browser.
Can I use this on mobile devices?
While the website is mobile-friendly, text-to-speech generation is very resource-intensive and may be slow or unstable on mobile devices. We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer for the best experience.
Does this work offline?
You need an internet connection to load the application and log in. However, once the necessary models are loaded, the actual text-to-speech conversion can work with a limited internet connection since it processes locally.
Voice & Quality
What voices are available?
We offer multiple high-quality neural voices powered by Kokoro TTS, including male and female options with different accents and speaking styles. You can preview and select your preferred voice in the voice selector before generating audio.
Can I adjust the speaking speed?
Currently, the speaking speed is optimized for natural-sounding speech. We're considering adding speed controls in future updates based on user feedback.
What audio quality can I expect?
The audio is generated at high quality (typically 24kHz sample rate) as uncompressed WAV files. The voices use advanced neural text-to-speech technology for natural, human-like pronunciation and intonation.
Does it support multiple languages?
Yes! We support multiple languages including:

- Brazilian Portuguese
- Hindi
- Italian
- Spanish
Troubleshooting
The page won't load or keeps crashing
Try these steps:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser
- Disable browser extensions temporarily
- Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version
- Check if your device has sufficient memory available
My PDF isn't being read correctly
Some PDFs, especially those with complex formatting, images, or scanned pages, may not extract text properly. For best results, try converting your PDF to plain text first, or copy and paste the text directly into the text input field.
I can't log in or reset my password
Check your email for the password reset link. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. If you're still having issues, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. Contact us if the problem persists.
The audio download isn't working
Ensure your browser allows downloads and check your browser's download settings. Large audio files may take a moment to prepare for download. If the issue continues, try using a different browser.
My usage statistics seem incorrect
Usage is calculated based on the number of words in your input text. If you believe there's an error, try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, please contact us with details about when you used the service.
